Architectural production in Ireland had a remarkable expansion in the years of the Celtic tiger (the nineties of the 20th century and the early 21st century, considering the period of great economic development of the country) but in 2008, like many European countries, it was perhaps the worst recession of its history. The architecture sector has almost stopped, many construction companies have ceased their activities and numerous architects immigrants; but since the beginning of 2014, the construction industry is well recovering.

La produzione architettonica in Irlanda ha avuto una notevole espansione negli anni della Celtic tiger (gli anni Novanta del 20° sec. e i primi anni del 21° sec. considerati il periodo di grande sviluppo economico del Paese), ma nel 2008, come molti Paesi europei, ha subito forse la più grave recessione della sua storia. Il settore dell’architettura si è quasi arrestato, molte imprese di costruzioni hanno cessato la loro attività e numerosi architetti sono emigrati; ma dall’inizio del 2014 l’industria delle costruzioni è in netta ripresa.
